I have been gone for a while and extremely busy, but I have to say I came to the realization that a ton of amazing things have come out of this forum for me. Learning, friendships, and it is even responsible for one of my businesses in its entirety.
First of all, I don't feel I have given this forum enough credit for what it has done in my life.
I want to start a update thread/ AMA kind of thing to lend as much help as I can and to just help out.
My areas of expertise include internet brand building and consumer products of course, but I have also been happy with my results in B2B and B2G businesses. I have worked with state governments, large companies, local municipalities, medium companies, big time brokers... You name it I have sold something to them.
Ill start by saying an important thing to do is carve out an expertise with your first business that you can project into new deals... The more complex the deals the more likely you will have it to yourself and few competitors will enter. Keep your time as free as possible so you can continue to pursue new deals without running into a time constraint. Before long you can own a slew of companies all working for you.
We live in a world of internet, cross shopping, high competition with consumer products. There is a ton of margin opportunity selling things most people have never even heard of!
