You might think more broadly about lobbyists than just the high-profile K Street crowd. Every state has its own legislature, governor, etc., and every mid- to large-size city has city & county government. Years ago, I worked for a nonprofit & we employed a lobbyist to work on state legislators. You might look at political consultants--I reckon that's what they call themselves.would you suggest I contact some K street folks or strike a deal with a former high up go'vt official that is now a private consultant?
