Hey guys
So I hear a mixed endorsment for boosting facebook posts.
It seems a no brainer on the surface but in practice I'm struggling with them.
Boosted a few posts to countries like India, Indonesia etc as one of my pages would include a broader market as an experiment and the likes come pouring in as did the page likes etc.
Boost anything to targetted audiences in Australia, the US, UK which is my target market - and I'm lucky to get 2 likes and an odd comment.
I figure that it's either got to be an issue in
a) Targetting - too specific? too broad? I niched down but kept it broad
b) Budget - am I allocating too little a budget?
c) Content - although not sure this is the issue, again experimented by sharing a video from a page with many viewers that they had shared from a popular brand. After 3 days of boosting, the results were no different which shows me that it's not the content itself and a product of who (and a bigger fan base)
The odd campaign has brought me sales but we're talking 1 or 2 sales per $10 campaign if I'm lucky with little in the way of engagement
Just wondering if anyone out there has had good success and wouldn't mind a few pointers?
