Here is an exercise that you can execute to break through mental barriers, especially when it comes to decision-making and uncovering your true desires about a particular subject.
Step 1: Ask a question
What is a question that you want a genuine answer to? Write it on paper.
For example:
Step 2: Reserve 20 minutes with a pen, paper, and no distractions
Turn the phone off - grab a pen & paper. For the next 20 minutes, write down everything that comes to mind about your questions.
EVERYTHING! No filters or this won't work.
Step 3: Review
After 20 minutes, review what you've written. The true answer to your question will likely lie within those notes.
This strategy pulls out things that you may not be consciously aware of.
