There will always be a debate on whether or not to go to college... and rightfully so. But your rant is almost apple to oranges to this.
What's concerning is your current perception of your college experience with no business plan in place. Why exactly do you hate it? Deciding on going to college or taking an opportunity that you feel may be more entrepreneurially beneficial is one thing.... but your already there! Might as well stick through it. With less value-added options in front of you, any entrepreneur would advise you to stay doing what your doing.
My goal has been self employment ever since I was 15 or so. I still happily went to college because no other option was as beneficial at the time and I knew nothing about anything. What am I doing now? Still working a shitty corporate job that I truly can't stand making $60k. But you need to preserver. Learn. Learn. Learn. Be right, sit tight, and be patient until you've got what you need to separate from the man. THEN take action. As my homies Rick Ross and French Montana would say, "stay schemin". I have been patient and have been a sponge for 7-8 years now (keep in mind i'm still only 23). I've slowly made calculated progress, and now I have some money to play with. I purchased a 4-unit complex last July and am currently studying under Steve Chou of bumblebeelinens.com. Just like that, I have become "above average" and my odds have all of the sudden shifted in my favor. I've HATED working since I graduated in 2012... but deep down you realize you need to keep going until your simply able not to. I also have my first test order of 25 products from China arriving at my doorstep this coming Thursday. I'm currently building an eCommerce site, and for the first time in my entire life I may finally be self-employed in the next couple of months. Hell.... 7 sales per day between eBay and my site for a product that cost $8.60 per unit including shipping will get me to $100,000 per year. Dozens sell per day on eBay alone, with only 3 competitors. It's been a long time coming.
I guess what I'm trying to say is always question if that devil on your shoulder just doesn't want to do any work, period. Don't jump the gun on quitting college. Have a REALLY GOOD reason to drop out if your going to. I don't have much to show for just yet, but when I was done with my classes for the day, I would research stocks, real estate syndication and multi-unit investing, entrepreneurship, small business capital raising strategies, etc. When I finish my god awful corporate job at 10 PM every night, I read and research until I go back in. Who knows... I may not even make it, but I can still say it is unbelievably difficult, and you are going to have those negative feelings with everything you do in one way or another. Tackle that first.
Remember... before "TAKING ACTION", have a plan.
