Hi Fastlaners,
For a while now, I have been buying electronics (ipads, laptops, headphones etc.) from a supplier I met through eBay in the US (I reside in Canada), and reselling them via local listings for profit. However now the supplier has gone out of business. I am currently selling the last of my inventory and then will have be forced to make new connections, if I plan to continue reselling.
However I am at a crossroads. I enjoyed reselling, but I recently read the thread on the licensing game by Vigilante. This thread gave me so many ideas on products which could be used in a licensing agreement, that it made me rethink returning to the resale game.
I'm using this thread to get over my FEAR of picking up the phone, making connections and moving forward in the license game. Vigilante's thread made me believe truly anybody can be successful - if they so choose.
After I sell my current inventory, I will have approx 2000$ to my name after paying off my student loan debts (also lost a decent amount in the stock market- but that's for another thread).
I realize this is probably no where near enough to get into the licensing game - so should I return to reselling until I can afford to do a licensing deal, or stick to what I know?
Any input here is greatly appreciated!
