Has anyone here built an E-commerce company that focuses specifically on exporting products to international developing markets.
If so what were the key challenges you faced?
How logistically did you achieve this?
And how did you go about establishing a need or niche within that market?
My reasons for being interested in international developing markets stem from a few assumptions, and they are just that assumptions, so please correct me if they are flawed.
1) Developing markets lag behind developed ones, so sectors which are no longer niches in domestic developed markets are waiting to exploited in developing markets, meaning there is more of an opportunity to control the market from an early stage.
2) There is a need or want for certain products from developed countries by developing markets which are perceived as high value / high quality products.
3) Due to the logistical challenges in running such an operation it would form a barrier to entry to potential competitors adhering to the Commandment of Entry.
