For example, collectible fine art becomes less valuable the more times you paint it or print it. At least in the eyes of art collectors.
When I was younger and found an awesome shirt, it would've ruined it if one of my friends showed up wearing the same one.
Indie game developers often buy non-exclusive characters because it's cheaper, but no one wants their main character showing up in dozens of other games.
Then there are products that become more valuable as they scale. TMF is a good example. The more people who read it, the more great discussions take place. This forum has added great value to the book.
I like how Seth describes it. He says if you can find something that gets more valuable as it scales (often because of connection or interaction between the customers), you'll have the wind at your back.
