Driving Targeted Web Traffic

So I've done a search on the forum trying to find relevant threads to driving qualified traffic to my site in order to make sales (somewhat axiomatic I suppose). I've found a few things, but not a whole lot. To summarize what I've found I think the various ways to get traffic to a site include...

• PPC campaigns (Adwords, facebook, etc.)
• Banners ads on websites
• Creating content for people to read (optimized for your sites SEO?)
• SEO of course...
• Video advertisements (similar to banner ads or am I missing something?)
• and I just found the idea of posting coupon codes on coupon sites

My question to the community is am I missing something in terms of great ways to generate targeted traffic? My product is a video series teaching people how to set up websites with wordpress and includes extra resources mainly targeted at small business owners. My USP for reference is that you keep control of your website in your hands, as opposed to handing over the reins to a template building site like 1and1 or telling a web designer to do it all. I've not included the link to the site since I'm new and am not sure if it violates the ToS since I'm under 50 posts.

Any help on techniques to drive customers to my page would be helpful. If there isn't anything else aside from what I've listed, a good kick in the a$$ to figure out what to start on first would also be appreciated.
