Entrepreneurs Are Born

In Capitalism: The Unknown Ideal Ayn Rand explained the value of free will as a companion to reason. Without the ability to reason, free will is a ship without a rudder. I used my free will to choose to become an entrepreneur and my reason to evalute it as a better decision for me than being an employee. I can't speak for others, of course.

Personally, I didn't become an entrepreneur for the sake of being an entrepreneur. It's a means to an end for me. It's a journey rather than a destination.

I think you could say the same for everyone on this forum who is taking or took those steps to entrepreneurship (or, as I prefer to call it, self-regulated income, since 'entrepreneurship' today has become such a loaded term that I don't even like using it to describe business owners, business flippers, etc.). But, of course, some people are willing to take those steps and some are not.

So the real question becomes: where does 'free will' stop and where does 'destiny' begin? (e.g. the genetic, ingrained 'destiny' to be self-sufficient in terms of money)
