I am a psychologist in germany and I want to gain further enterpreneurial knowledge.
Though I want to be an entrepreneur ( I recorded a meditation-CD I want to sell, I want to record further meditation-CD´s, I want to be a publisher) I am really happy about my sidewalk-job.
I am a counselor (social psychiatric service), with knowledge and experience about "motivational interviewing" (by Miller and Rollnick, 1990).
I am also giving seminars on that method. And counseling doesn´t only help me get better and better with this method, it also helps me to improve my seminars (People like it when you are deep into theory and practice, always providing the freshest examples).
At the moment I want to start a label to publish my stuff. Though I am really convinced about my material I am very slow (oddly enough). My tax consultant just said: "You could have made money already!"
She was confused, because I had contact to argon-verlag (quite a big publisher in germany for meditation-CD´s).
But they just liked the idea (the texts and the titel) and rejected the music and the cover.
I am very convinced about the material and it doesn´t feel right for me to compromise.
I´d rather sell less, but do it my way. (To be honest I want to sell on the grand scale)
Any comments on that are appreciated.
In my leasure time I engage a lot with enterpreneurial ideas, especially with "effectuation" (by Saras Sarasvathy, 2009).
Experiences with that theory anybody?
