Hey everyone,
Some of my extended family members export products to european countries and maybe USA, but recently one of my uncles told me that exporting from India is lucrative because there is a lot of craftmanship here (my city is famous for it's wood craftmanship) but the exporters here don't do much innovation with their products, and are often careless in the sense that they deliver the shipments very late and are not so good with communication which leads to a lot of people in the west not wanting to do business with exporters in India.
Do people importing from India feel that this is an actual issue which could be worked on?
Also recently I've been researching about import trends in european countries and found some great products that I could export (mainly in the eco-friendly and wooden niche) but one thing that bothers me is why would someone choose an indian exporter instead of a chinese factory which has the machinery to produce the same products quickly and cheaply? One possible reason I can think of people wanting to buy handcrafted products because of their good quality.
What is your opinion on this?
Thanks.
