I'm Mason. I'm a 20 year old college freshman in Wilmington, NC.
I'm from an area very close by. About myself...will try to keep it brief.
I'm here to find a goal, I NEED something to obsess and lose sleep over.
My college peers don't seem to be fired up by much of anything. I'm engaged in learning but they're interested in credentials and a good job and entertainment, not self-education.
I don't relate. It's stupid for me to stay in this environment and I'm about to drop out, even without a solid idea to work on as I work a shitty job to stay afloat.
However, I know I need a plan to find an idea.
I read MJ and Felix's books, joined forum awhile back but haven't been ready to commit...I had dreams of being a musician but screw them. The music industry sucks nowadays. Thankfully I've always tinkered with computers. I like the objectivity. I love lifting for this reason.
I do notice a lot of tech startups bore me and seem too "obvious" and uncreative, albeit well-executed. But I guess they're not boring their customers...lol. I have this one great biotech idea but thats pretty much the worst field for a young bootstrapper.

I just started building this site for a local music nonprofit thats starting up.
Not that I think it's anything special, it still needs work...but I know you guys are big on action here. At least it looks better than http://capefearblues.org, the other local blues society's website...which isn't even blue???
Anyway, back to needing a plan to find an idea. Doing a bit of DD I found a recommendation for Dane maxwell's idea extraction...good stuff, I'm about to check it out and perform the mission.
Will report my results back in a post soon. This is an amazing network, I want to be a part of it.
