I was never taught anything about finance, starting your own business or about the 5-2 workweek being a joke. I’m your prototypical slowlaner. It’s not my parents fault though, they weren’t taught either. But, I refuse to let that be my families legacy. I’m 34, happily married, with a decent job making what most people would be happy with. I take pride in my work, but we are enslaved to our debts that society has convinced us we should have because “that’s what you’re supposed to do”. Buy the house, buy the car. I know there is more to this life than just putting into my retirement to enjoy when I’m older. I’m hoping to find answers to questions I didn’t even know I had.
