Well I found this site a few months ago, just finished reading the book and ready to get outta my slow lane job.
About 8 years ago, I was somewhere and saw a need. Now don't get me wrong, but it ain't no fastlane type thing (seasonal food business); so 5 years ago I decided to get the wheels in motion and see if I could make it work. I originally just wanted to make extra $$ on weekends (while working my slowlane job) to provide a better life for my wife and kids.
Well finally last year, after almost 5 seasons in business, I made more $$ in this part time business then my full time job.
I've made the decision to trade my slowlane job for my slowlane business.
I call it a slowlane business because it's still kinda like a job as it requires me to be there most of the time to be profitable.
I do believe it will one day be a fast lane business though!
Because it's a mostly seasonal business, I'm calling it quits in May after i take my family on a well deserved vacation!
