The great thing about Fiverr is the following:

- if you want to learn a new skill, you can test it in an existing marketplace (if the market buy's your gigs, you are proving that your product or service is worth further pursuit)

- you experience first hand what it is like to deal with customers (you have to provide them support, come up with extra ways to please them due to competition etc. etc.)

- You gain relationships with your customers and they spread word about your work like wildfire (After every completed gig I did, my customer would send me 2-3 referrals the next day)

When I was learning to do graphic design, I posted a gig on fiverr and wanted to offer the best service possible (btw, this is a very crowded market) At the same time I would learn a valuable skill that I can leverage in business.

Here is an example of something that took me 2+ hours to create for $5.

You could argue that 2+ hours of work for $5 dollars is a waste of time. I would argue that I learned how to be designer(which I was doing anyway), got paid for it and got 3 referrals the next day(who also paid me).

We have used Fiverr a handful of times to complete short web projects, tips generally given as well.

I love Fiverr! The great thing is that if you aren't happy with the finished product, it only cost you $5. If you pay $1,000 for something, there isn't any guarantee that you'll be happy with it, either!

(But then, there is that psychological effect of people liking things that are more expensive just because there are, well, more expensive)

Here are some gigs that I've purchased:

1. Product review for one of my cosmetics products (a video review, it was pretty good)
2. Logo for my website I'm working on right now spanishsamurai.com. I don't think I am going to use it as a logo forever, but I think it works right now.
3. A video of a mime with old-timey music pulling my website out of his hat. Lol...
4. A picture of a bulldog next to a sign with my website name. Cute. People really did love it.
5. Forum posts for a forum I was launching. The girl was really nice and helpful.
6. A guy did a cartoon video for me. He put my product image and made me into a cartoon figure. Haha that was fun.

I could see a site called "fiddy" being setup where everything is $50. For that price I can't help but imagine the quality of service for high-order requests would be much better.
See my thread on this topic.

I've used Fiverr to compile a list of URLs for my contextual traffic campaigns that netted me one of my first 5 figure affiliate marketing campaigns.

I read the earlier posts in this thread and got interested in how you guys were able to boost your Dropbox size as I've been trying to drive it up as much as I could since I started using it.

I just checked and saw this:

4.5 GB of 57.5 GB used

Haha, so I guess I have enough for now :)

I have a few sites (blogs) on "Sponsored Reviews" when I get one sold I just pop the parameters into fiverr and it's done. Pretty slowlane but only a minute to copy into and out of fiverr.

I've also had

Social media likes, plus's and such
Kindle book covers
Silly videos
Craigslist ads for other cities

done on fiverr

Holy crap, how did you get 57.5 GBs? I thought the max free space was 21/22 GB (which is what I'm at right now).

I got that much because I purchased a Samsung Galaxy S3. It was/is a promotion bundled with this phone for some reason that adds 50GB to your dropbox account. Very, very handy! Another big plus of the SGS3!!!
