I first encountered MJ DeMarco's work this past April (on freakin' Reddit, no joke), I burned through Fastlane and Rat Race, now reading Unscripted .
Joined the forum soon after, mostly lurking.
I was prompted at this moment to start what I guess y'all call an accountability thread by experiencing a flash of Fastlane's first chapter when MJ's well-meaning mother pleads with him "get a job, baby!"
My own mother asked me what I was busy doing today, I told her "working on learning ways to make money." She replied, "Going back to school would be a good start!"
That was the end of that conversation, and beginning of this thread.
Rob O'Rourke talked me into his Foxweb program (which I found at this forum). I do some B2B sales already, so its a low resistance path for me to get started, pay some bills, develop entrepreneurial skills, and establish some seed money. I hope AI hasn't made it too late for small-medium business web design to help me get my foot in the business startup door.
