Really glad to be a part of this forum. I had put off the introduction for a while to comb through some older posts and take some time to absorb the experience and knowledge of everyone here. It's been eye-opening to say the least.
I've spent the last 10+ years of my life toiling in financial services (banking/investments/insurance/employee benefits) and I've reached my limit. Total Slowlane nonsense.
There are lots of small businesses here in Maine with aging ownership. I'm focusing on acquiring those businesses that have upside potential and making them acquisition candidates or at least sellable at a profit. That could involve upgrading systems, processes or altering course of the business. I plan on repeating this process until I reach Fastlane success levels needed to live off the 5% annual returns MJ talks about.
Big, but attainable goals. I'm excited for the journey, and I feel fortunate that I've read TMF and joined this forum. Looking forward to our future interactions.
