Well guys, as I get older, birthdays tend to fade into each other
and become less distinguished from the previous ones.

If either of you drink red wine, might I suggest a 1993 Gaja Barolo Sperss, with a well marbled bone-in Ribeye, medium rare, of course. Mmmm-mmm. Fantastic juice washing down delicious cow meat.

I actually opened my 1961 Lynch Bages last year (amazing fruit for a 47 year old wine).

And we opened a Harlen Estates the year before (drank it with the authors of [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Moveable-Thirst-Tastes-Season-Country/dp/0471793868"]A Moveable Thirst[/ame]


But we're having the most fun with our monthly get togethers w/a bunch of other Napa parents (w/preschoolers) who work in the wine biz. Just had a "sparkling" day last week, where we had everything from French Champagne to "soda pop sparklers". We brought 2 Australian sparkling reds-- a Trevor Jones and a Fox Creek Vixen. Served the red sparklers at room temp.

With all the sparkling wine there, it was like having a 7 course meal (apps to dessert), consisting of nothing but sparkling wine. Yummo!

Yep, we do like our wine.
