It is often preached that there is no shortcut to the fastlane and for the most part it’s true. There is ONE thing that will dramatically speed up how fast you get there though: masterminds.
There are quite a few secret subcommunities within the larger fastlane forum community. Many of them have ultra successful members who have long since stopped posting here for a variety of reasons(forum politics, too much noise on the forum, too busy to post stuff, lack of privacy here since it’s too easy to get an INSIDERS subscription, etc). I don’t know how the mods maintain their sanity trying to moderate this crazy house. Anyway, these subcommunities are where the genuine friendships are made and real gems are shared. That’s why meetups are awesome.
The reality is this: Almost any problem can be solved with the right team. So why are you still running a one man team, bro? The combined knowledge and learning momentum of a mastermind on Skype will overshadow any amount of work that you can accomplish on your own.
Now here’s the danger: most Skype masterminds suck. They suck your time, energy, and ultimately lead to nothing getting done.
If you do it correctly and filter which masterminds you focus your energy on, the sky is the limit and you will end up flying higher/ faster than if you were to go alone. I cannot stress this enough: identify and eliminate the time/energy leaks. Mindless forum posting, youtube music video browsing, coke snorting, whatever the time/energy leak is…cut it off.
Here’s how to create a killer Skype mastermind:
The mastermind must have a CLEAR and VERY specific goal. The more specific, the better. Here’s an example of vague vs. specific goals.
Vague goal: to make money selling car insurance
Specific goal: to make money selling car insurance targeting car enthusiasts who are ages 25-40 and own Lamborghinis
Keep the group small. I’d say 10 members or less. The larger the group is, the higher the chance of the group losing direction. Make sure everyone is on the same level as you in terms of mindset. Some people read and get stuck in the learning loop for YEARS then take zero action while others take action at the speed of instruction. It’s easier to teach a motivated person a new skill than it is to teach a skilled person how to become motivated.
A big plus is if the members of the group each have a unique skill to bring to the table: copywriting, lead capture, sales pages, affiliate marketing, web development, graphics design, system automation, SEO, presentation skills, research, PPC & FB advertising, content creation/video, programming, product development, ice cream eating.
Have a weekly conference call. Create a list of topics that will be discussed. This is not a time to chit chat about what happened on last night’s episode of Dancing With The Stars.
Kill the leech. Nobody likes that guy. The one that lurks in the shadows and contributes nothing while taking all of the valuable info. Make it clear to all of the members that if they are identified as the leech, they’re out. No hard feelings. The world is your mirror and if you live a life of lack then chances are it’s because you aren’t providing much value.
I hope you’ve gained some value from this post because I can personally attribute a lot of my progress to masterminds with individuals that I’ve met on this forum. If you haven’t gotten anything from it, perhaps an Emma pic will bring you value.
Cheers, bitches.
Don't lie. You just smiled.
