Firstly, hello from South Africa! 
I'm planning to spend quality time on this forum in future, as there are almost NO Fastlaners to talk to in my peer group, and I need you guys as a "reference point" to make sure my aim stays true.
At the moment, I own 3 small businesses, but one of them (in the IT/Web arena) has always done much better than the others. It's time to offload the two smaller ones.
One of them is easy... I'm closing it down as there's not a big enough market for it to make it viable. It's breaking even financially, but it's a time-sink for me.
The other is a kids party business (spa parties for girls). It's doing well, been going a year, and is sell-able for a small sum. But every time I go to put it on the market, I back off. Scared that the next owner will run it badly, and that it might reflect back onto me - I have a wide network who know it's *my* business, that *I* started.
Anyone else faced this challenge? Any advice?
Should I just stop being a big, whiny scaredy-cat and DO it? Are my worries well-founded, and if so, is there some way to control the potential damage?
