Hello all, I'm very happy to be joining this forum!
MJ, your book Millionaire Fastlane was one of a few that has put me on a completely new, life changing path, so thank you.
I'll be brief with my intro, as I have a QN that I'd appreciate some support with.
I have relocated to Sri Lanka with my husband (Sri Lankan) and our 2 year old bub. We live in a beach side village and its beautiful and peaceful.
I have worked in property and construction, private and public sectors, in consulting and management roles, spanning 16 years - mainly in Australia, but a couple years also in the UK. For a while, I have felt out of place within the 'systems' that I worked. I am 41 years old and have decided to start my own company.

I haven't worked for the last 2 years - time off raising my bub. I've spent time recently consuming books/podcasts re starting out on the entrepreneur journey. I have spent time mapping out possible business ideas and evaluating them against criteria (MJ, using some of your methods). THIS is where I am stuck. I am finding it challenging identifying a 'good' business opportunity, but at the same time, I am super keen to sink my teeth into something.
I am currently exploring potential opportunities within the property industry in Sri Lanka - an area of interest and skill.

My latest book was 'Entrepreneur Revolution' by Daniel Priestley, which has inspired me to gain some experience with an entrepreneur/small global business so I can learn about running a small business. Also, this may assist in opening my mind to potential business opportunities.....MY MIND is always thinking/looking/searching......

MY QN - (I'd be super appreciative for any feedback!): Any advice on where to search for part time contract remote work with an entrepreneur/small global business?! I want to learn about running a small business eg financials, risk management, marketing, sales. But I also want to provide value. Typical job hunt methods aren't working. I need to get creative, but would appreciate ANY ADVICE!!!

The most obvious danger of consuming too much is that it turns you into a consumer. A lot of that “free” (and paid) content out there is designed to turn you into someone else’s consumer. (And it’s not free btw... not unless you put zero value on the time it took to consume that “free”...

It sounds to me like you are interested in real estate and have some expertise in it. If so, can you start a business that supplies something that people in Sri Lanka want for their homes or a real estate opportunity?

Examples might be: domestic cleaning, window cleaning, gutter cleaning, interior or exterior painting and decorating, plumbing, electrical work, windows / glazing installation or repair, gardening or garden design, kitchen or bathroom installation / renovation, extension construction, loft conversion, garage construction or conversion, driveway construction, entire property fix and flip or new build construction.

There are probably masses of others. The most important thing is that you get started and then if your business isn't "perfect" (hint: It won't be) then you can pivot to "better" opportunities that your market wants.

Edit: Sales, marketing, risk management and financials you can learn on the job.
