I was a little surprised to not see anything posted here about the "hidden cash" phenomenon going on in CA, and wanted to hear member's thoughts about it:

To summarize, someone(s) in the bay area, ostensibly a real-estate developer, has been leaving small amounts of cash in parks all around the city, then tweeting hints on where to find it. It quickly took off, and led to scenes like this one, in Burbank:
The whole thing reminded me of MJ's illustration of the free burger in TMF , particularly when people complained on Twitter that their neighborhoods weren't chosen for drops, and when others complained about needing the cash more than others. One of the drops was in my neighborhood, and it was pandemonium.
