Hello everyone,
I work at a supplement store that also ships product worldwide, and has free shipping nationally with $70 subtotal or more. I want to convince my manager and the business owner to make an affiliate program, offering 5% commission on all sales (initial + return). With this, I would market towards certain demographics that have previously been poorly marketed towards.
Since our store’s prices are cheaper than major online supplement vendors (amazon, iherb, bodybuilding), our shipping is free at a certain point, and there is a lot of money in the industry, I think this is a great idea. Since most sales would be at least $70 on average in order to reach free shipping costs, that is likely to earn me at least $3.50 per customer sale, and another $3.50 each time the customer returns to re-supply their supplements.
There are a couple problems, however. First, I have no clue how to propose this project to my manager. Second, I am currently unsure on how to design an affiliate program.
Any feedback on whether this idea seems intelligent or not is greatly appreciated.
Also, any information on how to resolve the two problems I have would also be appreciated.
Thanks ladies and gentlemen!
