Just wanted to add this. The "ugly but converting ads" section reopened my mind. I made something like this 2 years ago for my pressurewashing business and it was and still is one of the best performers. Last month I also started doing some webdesign. Yesterday after seeing this thread I made a quick "do you need a website video" just me talking to the camera with subtitles. Launched it today, instant forms on facebook 10€ budget and already have a meeting with a customer on wednesday.

Nice win, love this reply. You got to break through the noise lately and everything just looks too much like and ad and polished. It's great as not many can see it and feel they need to be "on brand" aka blending in.
