Who's in its path? Plans? Stake out? Flee?

Wishing everyone in its potential path a safe and uneventful outcome!

It's looking like we aren't getting a direct hit as of now (I'm in Orlando) so we are just going to hang out and see what happens. Got some water, frozen meat, and a propane tank to be safe though.

If this is going to be anything like Irma, there will be a huge shortage in a lot of materials and a lot of work needing to be done, so I've stocked up a ton of materials that will be in high demand post-hurricane.

Jacksonville, FL. We'll get some wind and rain, likely flooding. Fortunately, I bought outside of any flood zones - yes a planned decision when house hunting - so no major concerns. Very happy to see Dorian recurving early and not making FL landfall. Sorry to anyone in the Carolinas or GA coastline, hope Dorian continues to recurve even more and misses you as well.

Dorian went from a tropical storm to a Cat 1 as it was moving over the Eastern islands here in Puerto Rico. Luckily here in San Juan it missed us by about 30 miles to the North. My family back in NC on the other hand are currently prepping to evacuate as they live on the sound which subjects them to storm surge and catastrophic flooding.

Hopefully the storm takes a path further out to sea. Stay safe everyone.

West Palm Beach, FL - A couple of days ago we were in the middle of the cone of death but now it seems like the hurricane will miss us completely. We’ll probably still get some rain and stronger wind but not much more than that.
