- Is it a project to be used to learn a specialized skill?
- Are you sure you are not using this project as a distraction from your real GOALS?

The questions are good, probing questions.

I don't like that you asked them because he already addressed these concerns.

But clearly this project is in line with his goals of someday owning and running a gaming studio. These questions were all addressed in his first post.
