I used to work at a car wash, and now I got a call to work at a grocery store. I have my main career plan in the works, and it really is coming together with the hard work, but I still feel a little inadequate.
Obviously I am going to get a new job, I need money somehow, but society sort of makes me feel like it's "Pathetic" to work at a grocery store part time at the age of 21.
What I'm asking is - is the kind of considered normal, or no?
Most kids my age are at college, but most of the ones I know are just partying and having their money sent by their parents.
Although I'd work here, when my plan comes together, it will simply be incredible. I've been putting more and more time into it, and the progression is becoming quite clear.
So tell me, have you guys worked these jobs at that age? Society makes me feel like I should be so much farther ahead in terms of working at a "job". But the thing is, once I'm done with this job and my other venture takes off, I'll be MUCH farther ahead than anyone in my age group.
