Correct. Or at least I try it.
Listen, I had way more money 4 years ago, but I was miserable. Inside, I was feeling bad, felt I did not have enough, and was worried about everything.
Today, my investments have been hit hard, I've made many wrong decisions, and have lost enough money to make many lose their sleep, and others probably would commit suicide given the situation.
Me? I'm probably happier than ever.
Why?
Cause it is my personal decision to be as happy as I can be. There is only one life (as far as I know) and I've decided to stop worrying too much and enjoy as much as I can.
In my investments, I used to worry about everything and tried to focus on everything and trusted nobody cause I could do it better if I dedicated the time myself to learn it. Result? Lots and lots of stress.
Now I've realized my role as investor is to maximize the input, and try to find the best people available to take care of the rest.
Hyperinflation could happen. But even if it does and my investments were doing good and I was better economically speakign than the rest then I'd probably come on top after all. Or maybe not. But why worry about it?
I try to focus on that, making the best investing decisions given what I understand is going on and the tools I have at my disposal.
I stopped using the "What If" question to look for risk. I used it only to look for more solutions to existing problems.
