Idea for a web business....I need your opinions

I'd like to create a website and blog in which producers of a determinate kind of products can have their space as advertisement and in a catalogue, to Wholesale and to make them products known in the country. My earning should be from a monthly fee they pay to be advertised. Would it be possible?

Why not do this but use the model where you refer business and receive a % of sales. It's risk free for businesses since they only pay if you bring them sales. You can leverage it better...

I'd ke to start it with a Subscription. The fact that societies need to be registered is to grant the trust, to have only serious contacts. I want to put optional consult and help to buy or sell product - on this I take a percentage.
I'm just a bit afraid of not being able to have clients, because i'm not so good in reaching high number of visitors. And I need to know more about creating web sites and all the services needed....

Something like a B2B marketplace? Companies showcase themselves, run ads related to the category, have the whitepapers and case studies hosted, and then you charge them a fee month on month, by giving them the hope of better marketing - by showcasing the keyword rankings, the page rank, SEO organic results for each of those categories you list?
