Hello,

I'm Majdal and I live in Europe, Austria.
I've read Unscripted a year ago, started a YouTube channel, just improved my Video making skills and now I want to go all in on entrepreneurship.

I have a choice to make on which business I should start.

On the business side, I am a complete beginner and still learning through consuming content from Alex Hormozi, reading books about marketing / ads / copywriting and listening to any business related podcast I can find.

What I can offer for customers though is one of two things:

  1. Fitness online Coaching and courses. I have gone from being obese and weighing 135KG to 85 KG with a Sixpack and a nice amount of muscle mass. I was obsessed with losing weight and building a nice body, to the point I researched and learned for hours every day, 7 days a week about all the science has to say on this, so I know with certainty that I can help my customers reach their fitness goals.
  2. A Videography / Photography business - I had started creating Videos as a Hobby and have gotten pretty good at it. At first it started out with some YouTube stuff, Then I made an ad for a local restaurant because the owner is a friend and in the process found out that my ad was above average / better than the ones he usually pays for.

Client acquisition would, starting out, be through paid ads for the Fitness side and a combination of cold outreach and paid ads for the Video business.
I'd use Squarespace for whichever business I chose to start

My question is - Which one of these do you think to be the better choice for a complete beginner ?

Please include why you think Option 1 or Option 2 is the better choice too.

Thank you for any replies,

Best regards,
Majdal

I don't like either, but if I had to pick, I like #2.

The fitness space is terribly crowded unless you're bringing something terribly unique to the table, I don't see how you stand out from the crowd. A personal story is a great start, but every fitness influencer starts there so it is no advantage.

The video angle can serve you in multiple ways however, from building your own audience, to promoting your own products. For me, it offers the best versatility in the long game.
