There's many ways to interpret this, the way I choose to see this is as:
'inventing job' (creating solutions for your customers) is better than 'finding a job' (having the customer tell you what to do).
It is your JOB to find and invent the solution for their problems - not theirs, if they knew, they wouldn't be having those issues.
So stop waiting for others to come to you and tell you what to do, and instead come to them with a value-add solution.
