The Millionaire Fastlane is literally a book that should be apart of a teenagers academic.
The Book really does read like your having a conversation with a very cool very wise man that cuts through all the shit and opens your eyes and mind to what building wealth really consists of.
For me, as much as I have read soooo many books on wealth, business, LOA, blah blah blah, the Millionaire Fastlane was like taking the red pill in the matrix and waking up to a new paradigm where I now see things clearly and have a new profound understanding.
From a very young age I knew there had to be more to life then "Trading hours for dollars" life style. It just didn't make sense to me. Yet the messages I would hear from society and elders were "thats how it is, you have to". But being the defiant and independent thinker I was, I like Columbus tested what was possible and went against societal conditioned realities.
Like MJ my burning desire started from "Lambo's". I had posters, models, Hot wheels. It was a restless ocd desire that somehow I would defy the monetary gravity of the slowlane and become free.
In highshool I got involved with "No money down real estate" and "Quicken" which is like what Amway is today. And after feeling so enthusiastic to jump in and succeed, that enthusiasm was replaced with confusion and frustration, after "guru's" hyped up the business that I would be a millionaire and no time LOL yeah f'n' right.
It was full of sound good advice and lofty dreams, but never no straight forward "this is how you do it".
It did lead me to good books like "Psycho-cybernetics and think and grow rich" which were apart of curriculums passed down from the leaders.
I spent my free time surfing the net looking for answers. Then I came across this weird cult like but opened my mind to a new world "Neo-Tech", and that was when I was introduced to Entrepreneurship. It did point me in the right direction and was beneficial but yet it failed to deliver on what marketing hype promised.
I had immersed myself in reading and practicing it for 2 straight years, to in which I was more educated but had no fruits of my labor.
Like MJ said in the book dealing with a mom on his a$$ and grinding away at his passion but when they are stuck in the slowlane matrix they don't understand what we are doing. My mom would tell me "No one is going to pay you to read", as if I was reading for the sake of reading. I wasn't reading books like Harry Potter or the Lost Boys, I was reading books like Think And Grow Rich, but with no fruit of my labor I looked like a crazy person, and still do.
So my 20's were spent in the fastlane limbo. I chased every opportunity that promised to break me free from the trading hours for dollars only to be very disappointed. Getting involved in some embarrasing stupid money making schemes, like assembling crafts, a book called the Royal Road to Rich's which vaguely introduced the idea you can sell info for money and had me thinking I could do it because I aced every writing/English class, yet I still can't spell lol, so I thought I could do it. Not understanding all the details that go into it.
I attended a Rich Dad, Poor Dad seminar in Boulder CO, in which I rode my motorcycle to, had leathers on, I didn't own a suit, nor did I care how I looked, I was just there to drink up the knowledge. Everyone there was in suits. I stood out like a green hate with an orange bill.
I was experiencing the "Law of Entry" only I didn't know it. I was surrounded by sheep all being sold a more expensive seminar that promised wealth. Half way through realizing it was bullshit. There was no real content or value, just a great speaker who was selling the $2500 seminar, I got up and walked out.
Until the fastlane this was my Limbo, still searching, knowing it exists but not having clarity and understanding that I found in the millionaire fastlane. It has become my bible and will be re-read, and re-read regularly.
I thank you MJ for not giving up on the book and creating it. It is a breath of fresh air and pure truth to the many of use who have been searching.
