Hello Fastlaners and future millionaires,
My name is Alix and I live in Miami Florida, I grew up inside a furniture store(my dad’s) in my home country, Dominican Republic. I came to USA when I was 20 years old with a associate degree and from my first years experiences (back in late nineties), I realized that I wanted to be an entrepreneur. I finished my bachelors in international business and of course, I had to do whatever was necessary to survive and thrive. Fast forward 20 years, I've been from construction worker to UPS driver to Car salesman, to Mortgage Broker, Supermarket General manager and Restaurant Owner.
Sold my restaurant after 3 years of Business Ownership slavery; my wife and I swore not to own a brick and mortar ever and not to have employees (difficult task). I bought the millionaire Fastlane recommended by my internet mentor almost 3 years ago. Got fascinated from the beginning, after I sold the restaurant, I started with a website to create a network of Realtors Thru out Latin America (mostly Brazil). Sharing commissions between agents for properties sold in the Caribbean, central, South America and south Florida. It started OK, with a couple transactions made, since my wife became a Realtor and I had the mortgage broker experience, the crisis started hitting Brazil and Latin America and business started to slow down to levels that couldn’t support our family. the book was the base of my real state network, that unfortunately did not work, but again, I will never stop trying!
Last year a friend of mine offered me a job as a regional sales manager of roof tiles in Florida, needless to say; I took the job. I have to support my family, my daughter is 3 years old and we are blessed with twins coming up this June 2016. We got involved with a team of SEO experts and We've learn a lot about building websites and ranking them in google. As of right now; my wife is working that side of our business (I have to sell roof tiles and work SEO part time) and we already have over 10 websites ranking with several keywords on first page of google producing and estimate of $1750 a month with a lot more potential.
Here's where I need your help and thoughts; I'm very outgoing, speak 3 languages and I consider myself a good sales person, I am planning on building a website for roofers in Florida (to start) were consumers and providers get together. With blogs from roofers and distributors, reviews from consumers and forum for roofers. Monthly referral services where roofers, distributors and manufactures can advertise paying a monthly fee according to the package they buy. Sort of Yelp if you may.
As a regional Sales Manager, I am getting direct access to roofing company owners, distributor’s sales managers and other manufacturers. It will take me several months before I can start ranking the website, and working on all the social media associate with it, I need your ideas and comments on this project. I really believed in it.
Taking in consideration the minimum cost for an average roof in Florida will cost about $10K to $18k, I have studied some websites (that I am sure I can do better) which are charging between $300 to $2,300.00 per monthly advertising and referrals fee. They are hundreds of roofers, dozens of distributors and many more companies that would like to advertise in a high traffic yelp like site. If only a small percentage (2%) of let’s say 2500 companies (between all of them) pay the average monthly payment of $650, we are talking over $30K gross minus say 25% expenses equals a net of almost $25k a month, times a couple more states…you do the math…I already know it
I am doing this! and I am going to succeed! I just want to hear like minded people’s opinion. By the way; Thank you MJ, you have keep me focus on my Financial freedom quest for the past 2 years and I listen to the book every single day while stock in traffic with my audible of the book. Thank You.
