Having noticed that my books, both Proven Global Sourcing, and Labels That Exploit, have been bought by a growing number of members from countries outside those where the big e-Commerce players are, I have an idea that might be useful for some of them.
Most are located in countries where I have found at least one genuine B2B site, and that shows that there are exportable products there.
If they check out what they can buy locally in their country, and offer something suitable for sale in the big markets, such as the USA, they might well be first to market. They will need to thoroughly research the US market. I would start with Amazon and eBay to see if such a product is currently being sold in the US. It will also require some test marketing to validate the product idea.
They will have the benefit of knowing who manufactures the products. They will also be able to negotiate face to face.
Amazon USA is used as a selling platform by thousands of people who have never set foot in the USA.
