Most Self-Defeating Industries?

Everyone experiences a certain level of limiting beliefs as the progress in life - and you can expect everyone around you to feel the same way.

But based on your observation, have you noticed any particular industry that has a higher concentration of people with crippling self-doubt? And if so, why?

For example, music is my niche.
From experience, I've met STUPIDLY talented people that - despite their reservoir of skill - are held back by whatever platitudes (or ego) they hold.
(There's no money in art, music industries! I don't want to sell out! Waah!)
