Good day everyone.
I've been lurking now for almost two years now, saying "someday when I'm older I'll start a business", or "the right idea will come to me, and then I will take action".
Until I realized, someday never comes. So, I decided to just do something, anything. Just take action and stop dreaming.
I read some of the hustle threads, and thought, we have stuff similar to craiglist here in South Africa. I had 90 dollars to my name, but I didn't let that hold me back. I started small, and within three months, I traded to about 3000 Dollars profit.
(Just for those of you who is skeptical about this or that in hustling and flipping products, I'm located in Johannesburg, South Africa, one of the highest crime rates and murder rates in the world, with scammers and everything, but still made it work, so it's possible anywhere)
I kind of got bored with all the calling and hustling and negotiating for products, and decided I want a more reliable source to get supply from. So about two weeks ago I started looking for gaps in the market and at local wholesalers. I looked at a bunch of stuff, but either the competition was too high, or the MOQ from local wholesalers was too much.
I was kinda bummed out, and came to the forum for a little inspiration. I came across a thread named "15 Year Old's Story About Importing From China". It was a real eye opener, and I knew that's the next way to go.
One of the things that stood out for me, was to niche down, find a niche so unique, and start selling within that niche.
So, for the last three days, I've been talking to Chinese suppliers, and settled on two manufacturers
two get samples from.
I'm expecting to get samples within 7-15 Days, and as soon as I'm happy with the samples, I'll put in my proper order, and start selling.
In the mean time, I'll probably do one flip a week, just to stay active.
A little bit about myself. My name is Michael, and I was born and raised in Johannesburg South Africa. Despite some of the bad stuff that happens here, it really is a great and beautiful country.
I'm 23 years old, and I'm confident I'll be a Millionaire before I'm thirty years old.
