Hi all 
I've been lurking on the forum for the past couple of weeks after having read TMF, but thought it was time to finally make an account.
I'm a 22 year old fresh graduate (Economics) from the UK. I've only started working in my first full time "career" type job recently as a Buyer, considering the current graduate job market in the country I felt very lucky to land myself a new job with a good salary. However, after working for 4 months in my current position I've felt like questioning the working life in general. I've always been a bit of a big dreamer and am grateful to have read TMF at an age where I can make the right choices.
Over the past few weeks I have managed to develop some ideas, only to find that they have already been created or in the process of being created, e.g an app designed for people working out/cycling/running whereby the intensity of the music they're listening to is dependent upon their pulse and heartbeat. I'm sure it's not to everyone's taste, however after a quick Google search I've discovered that Spotify are actually already developing something very similar. While it can be disheartening, I see it as a way to show that these ideas do have a good market and scale if they've already been made/in the process of being made.
I'm still fairly unsure of which industry/market to pursue, however I have spent a lot of my spare time researching growing markets, looking for a particular niche which hasn't been tapped into yet.
