Not sure if you guys remember me. I haven't been around for about a year...but things are going well! I have been successfully renting out my first purchased property for a year now at about $190 cash flow after all is said and done. I have also purchased another small 2/2 condo for my personal residence part of town that I love. Paying less to live there than I was paying for rent to share a house with 2 other friends! On the heels of my rental, I started a property management company which is working with a couple of clients right now to rent their properties out.
Enough updates though...on to the good stuff! I have recently started a new project. It is a tutoring company that caters to right-brained individuals, meaning creative types. Using a curriculum that my partner created, I am sort of in charge of the business side of things, he is over the tutors (and the money, I might add).
Everything is going well. The company is formed, website should go live in a couple of weeks, address established, phone set up, etc, etc. We even have our first potential client meeting in a week! All that said, I have a few general questions for the group.
1) Has anyone had experience running a tutoring company? Challenges? Things to look out for? Tutor pay (1099 or full employee pros and cons)?
2) We are designing the website through BluDomain.com (can't speak highly enough of the user friendliness and support from these guys). Super easy. Has anyone worked with BluDomain? Mainly, I am wondering about ad revenue for later on down the road.
3) I have been brainstorming and creating a comprehensive marketing plan for the company but would love to hear your feedback and any ideas you guys have! Partnerships, promotions, etc. Anything!
