I was just reading the magazine that I receive on a frequent basis from the Chamber of Commerce here in the Netherlands. There was a short story in it about a painter who decided to shift his 'work day' from the daytime to the night. Ever since he started doing that he does not have to compete with other painters anymore and his order porfolio is filled constantly.
When the office personnel of companies go home he moves and covers desks, chairs, etc. and paints walls and ceilings. In the morning a room is painted and fresh and the employees can start their working day as if nothing happened.
Of course, this isn't fastlane, but it is a way for him to be sure of a constant flow of work without having to negotiate over the last penny. If he is clever, he will brand his night painter activities and make some extra, passive, bucks from licensing the brand or franchising.
Maybe this is already being done in the United States, but I thought it can be helpful as food for thought for at least some members.
