Okay, well I have this goal in life to become a very great artist in some form, the thing is, I am fascinated by a great many artforms. For example, I love drawing and painting and photography and combining them all to create beautiful fantasy and science fiction pictures, like this guy's: http://www.howarddavidjohnson.com/ - he is like my idol for painting, however I also am fascinated by music composition, especially the work of modern composers like Hans Zimmer, Klaus Badelt, Harry Gregson-Williams, etc...so I want to learn to compose music.
But then I also am very fascinated with building things by hand, and thus I really want to learn to build great furniture, mostly great English or French furniture, the really intricate craftsmanship, work-of-art stuff.
I am also fascinated by videogames and want to learn to program them, and I am fascinated by cars/trucks and want to learn to build engines, and install car audio/video systems in vehicles.
I am a true Renaissance man in my interests, but the thing is I highly doubt I could do them all, not unless I have the talent of Leonardo da Vinci himself, and even then...
I do not want to do any of these for money, my idea is that I will already be rich (somehow I would build businesses while having and maintaining all these skills:smx4. for example, I read that it takes like a near obsession devotion-wise to learn to build furniture, that it takes years just to get the basic skills down, let alone build the truly great stuff, and that's just for being a craftsman, let alone a artist, composer, etc...
So i will have to pick and choose, but I AM FASCINATED BY ALL OF THEM. I just don't know which to do, it's driving me crazy.
Oh yeah, and somhow I want to throw in being the next Jacques Cousteau, Clive Cussler for shipwreck exploration, a great engineer, and then of course the next richard Branson and Warren Buffet combined if I can do it
I know for $$$ wise I want to build business (which I view kind of like an abstract form of building; all these interests are about building things, business included) but artist/artisan-wise, I am going nuts.
Okay I doubt anyone can really help me with this, I just needed to share this dilemma with other people.
A few of you say I have constant ideas for businesses, well I actually do with regards to life overall! I imagine one could pull off being an artist, engineer, and entrepreneur, but one has to be choosy about the specific areas.
I wish I had super-human brain power to learn all this stuff.
