Recently I made a very small change in my mindset, and it's been bringing me massive results. It's a very subtle change...
Instead of setting goals like this,
- I need to finish this project by Sunday
- I need to make 50 cold calls by 5:00PM
- I need $3 Million profit by the end of this year
I began to set them like this,
- I want to finish this project by Sunday
- I want to make 50 cold calls by 5:00pm
- I want to make $3 Million profit end of this year.
The change was subtle, but it set in motion a completely different attitude towards accomplishing the task.
When you focus on the NEED of something, you're focusing on the lack of it. And ultimate you'll just keep attracting more of the lack of it. It causes a lot of resistance and negative emotions.
But when you focus on what you WANT, you'll start focusing on what you WILL do to make it happen. It's way more powerful this way, it really aligns your thoughts and action.
Then from focusing on wants, its very easy to transition to visualizing that you've already accomplished it, and from here you'll act like someone who's already done it before.
