Due to a screwed up upgrade attempt, I ended up biting the bullet and switching my blog to my new host. I did not export the content of my site, I exported the database which I thought was sufficient. Do to the failed upgrade attempt, no access to the old blog is available.
The post and all are saved in the DB info
I installed the blog at the new host, but when I import the db, it does not work.
new db tables are "wp_rq8lg6_posts" format
old db tables are "wp_posts" format so the old data does not populate the new tables.
I tried changing the wp-config file to look at the wp_ files, but when I do that, I get a blank screen at my blog. I tried saving over the new db table with the old and yielded the same results.
My preference would be to not commit suicide on Father's Day, but I am going crazy. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
