Welcome, Adam! Holy cow, you must have so many cool stories from all the different jobs you've done.

After HS I left for the US Navy. After discharged I attended university for CS. While in uni I was head hunted by SpaceX and Google. I interviewed for both but really enjoyed the Hawthorne SpaceX tour I was given. I packed my bags for Vandenberg Air Force Base SpaceX. (I kissed my professors goodbye and jumped on the pacific coast hwy 101) It was an 80 hour work week type of a grind. I built the launch and landing center, racked stacked and configured all kinds of IT hardware. There were private rooms with bed, television, video games, movies and showers at the work site. And an unlimited food cafeteria for free.

From there I worked as a Telecommunication Engineer for a DoD contractor. A Network Engineer for Remote Control Productions a Hans Zimmer company in Santa Monica. An IT Manager for Vice Media in Venice. Here is where I started to branch out of W2 slow lane and started an IT service company in Los Angeles. I would then take on and service Hollywood composers home studios, large media companies & students from nearby USC. I would also take on projects from Robert Half Technology for various IT and cyber security work. I hired a few IT technicians and helped get them trained up. Our clients started to get larger in size in which I added on additional techs over the years.

How did you decide to move to San Antonio? Or maybe the right question is, why did you open your company there?

My name is Adam. I am 37 from Los Angeles. I currently own an and operate an IT solutions & robotic automation services company in San Antonio. (Just left Austin TX)I also own and remotely operate a restaurant & rent out RE property in Manila, Philippines with the help of my significant others family.

Background

As an adolescent I had an itch for technology. More specifically software and computer "hacking." From a young age I spent time back and forth between mother/father. While living with my father I spent time with the older hacker crowd. Father is an electrical engineer and his close friends and coworkers were Sicilian satellite hackers. I learned a ton about H/HU programming from them.

Our clients started to get larger in size in which I added on additional techs over the years.

Moved to Washington D.C. to take on an IT subcontract for a Federal agency under a newly formed IT company out of Falls Church, VA. In addition to the IT business I would later form another business in the home appliance sales business. I sourced wholesale appliances from a Sears. I found myself a large warehouse with a docking station, hired on a few people to help with shipping and receiving to customers homes. I really enjoyed this business because it was process oriented. The only part I disliked were the missing product every now and then during receiving. I changed shipping company and resolved that issue.

I'll soon post photos once I finish my move here in San Antonio. My home is still filled with moving boxes I need to breakdown.

*** My grandmother called me a Gypsy because I am always moving about the country

Here is the only family photo I could find. That is me with the red tie many years ago. (My parents were basically R/E millionaires but it all went to shit because well long story. Father gone not in photo.)
