The parasocial agency is a recent and phenomenal marketing strategy. Usually, it's in a leading video with narration, then someone doing a task alongside it. This tactic of marketing is excellent for short-form content retention. I've used it, and it's given back great success for going viral. Does anyone use this/ have any views on this? It can feel like brain rot at a point.
Thanks for sharing this, wasn't expecting to get to Wilhelm Reich after some tik tok marketing technique analysis, pretty cool !

This is all Buzzfeed's fault. They should've disclaimed that all of our quizzes are just for funsies, they are not based in reality!
  • What's your elemental power?
  • What kind of animal are you?
  • What's your secret superpower?
  • What season are you?

I haven't heard the way this was laid out and never heard the cherubim/virtue thing (not sure where that all comes from - I can't say I've gleaned it from my own Bible reading) but overall the premise I feel is rock solid. It can be seen just by looking around - this is how the world runs not just the internet. The masses are intoxicated by artificial success or vain goals while taken for a spiritual ride their whole life. Heck, I find myself conscious and yet part of this system.

I was just watching the Michael Knowles show, and Knowles made a good point:
"Increasingly people are choosing not to have children. And, it's really bad when it's the leaders of our country who are acting in this way because they are expressing through their actions that they don't care about the future of the country. They don't really have skin in the game to make sure they are leaving for posterity a better country than they found. That's really bad, and a consequence of that is the main inheritance that we appear to be leaving politically to the next generation is a mountain of debt."
It's this last point that I think helps me to reevaluate and adjust my "why" for going Fastlane. When I pass away, am I just going to leave a massive burden for my family to deal with?

That does not at all sound wise, but rather extremely foolish.

Which leader?
The person he was referring to was Kamala Harris. She was on the Drew Barrymore show the other day, and Barrymore said that she needs to be "Mama-la" Harris.

But Michael made the observation that she doesn't have any children.

No worries. I find virality fascinating because the accumulation of small, excellent tactics can explode into videos that millions of people see. You can game it, learn it, study it, and create it. At some point, you begin influencing whole groups of people and, eventually, culture.

Watching tactics, even from those I don't like, gleans many lessons that can be applied.

Tate is a good example. Everyone has an opinion of him, and he's done very well getting into people's heads, even though it's led to a lot of hate and the perception that being a criminal is cool.

Many people will be inflammatory to get a reaction, but that's not what makes people viral. Engagement—likes, comments, watch times, shares- makes people viral. You have to be polarising, but polarising doesn't mean stamping on toes. It needs an emotion to encourage engagement.

Social media marketing must examine how to replicate and evolve these tactics. Instead of being mad at how addictive stuff is, pick it apart and find out why. Squat University is a great example.

  • A countdown timer promises a reward—a free 10 seconds of engagement.
  • The video used at the beginning sets the tone for discussing the exercise. The initial video is also engaging because it's a unique exercise with an extremely fit man. It is polarising. It causes a reaction and immediate engagement.
  • The narrator overlaps himself and presents excellent diagrams of anatomy. It also uses subtitles. There is a lot for the mind to engage with if it gets bored of one.
  • He briefly discusses a primary point and explains it directly. Diagrams assist with this.
  • The audience doesn't feel cheated because they watched garbage. I can recall what I learnt in the video. Repeat audience recommending the channel to others - the holy grail of going viral.
The retention for this video must be excellent because his videos constantly come up in my feed. He also has a lot of subs. Look at those views.

The masses are intoxicated by artificial success or vain goals while taken for a spiritual ride their whole life. Heck, I find myself conscious and yet part of this system.
People don't like the pain of change. As I get older, I feel that what makes us tick is inherited. Of course, we can change personalities, but you have to overcome that with change—many people put that off until it bites them later. Some people want to get after it. I felt this way when I was ten and was described as 'an old head on young shoulders' when I was 14. It's always been there, and some people have it naturally. It's easier if you have more experience.

And to an extent, we all are victims of a system we may not know. I've been blindsided, thinking I'm 'awake' and then getting knocked out of left field to dogma I believed all my life - mini crises which question everything you thought you knew. I prefer to be ambitious but stay humble. I may be wrong.

Once I think I've sorted out all my contradictions and knots, I overturn another stone and have to solve that problem. It doesn't end, and I hope it never does. It's rewarding.

As for looking for vain goals, I think we do it to fulfil something we lack. Are you really awake? Or is that installed SCRIPT? Why do you contribute to that through your actions? Who installed that in you? There is so much SCRIPT installed when we're not looking, even when we're kids. Vainness is an excellent example of it. We use the external to make up for something we feel we lack. Is that you? Or has it been installed in you consensually?

It's time to reclaim that lost territory and make it our own. That goes for opinions, beliefs, and values. I'm finding it essential to ask where my stances on things come from—is it really me talking? Or is it an ideological possession?

It doesn't feel good to be wrong, but the best way to overcome this is to lower one's ego. I used to look down on people who didn't do self-improvement or hit goals—it was exhausting. When something came along that shattered my worldview, it hurt even more because not only was I wrong to myself, but I was righteous in telling others what to do and how they were destroying themselves.

It's also crucial to be aware of one's identity and how one values oneself. So many people attach their worth to their identity and what they do daily, but we should look at values instead. We see values as our first principles, almost immovable and challenging to remove. The branches that stem from that are our activities, successes, and failures. They don't define us but make that tree we present to the world unique and characteristic.

I didn't expect to give a lengthy response, but I kept thinking and thought I'd put it down regardless. I may be wrong with some of the stuff I've put down (trying to be humble!).

Sounds like "Simulacra and Simulation" by Jean Baudrillard and the Matrix. LOL

From Wikipedia:

"The fourth stage is pure simulacrum, in which the simulacrum has no relationship to any reality whatsoever. Here, signs merely reflect other signs and any claim to reality on the part of images or signs is only of the order of other such claims. This is a regime of total equivalency, where cultural products need no longer even pretend to be real in a naïve sense, because the experiences of consumers' lives are so predominantly artificial that even claims to reality are expected to be phrased in artificial, "hyperreal" terms. Any naïve pretension to reality as such is perceived as bereft of critical self-awareness, and thus as oversentimental."

Wealth Dynamic Personality Type does have decent credibility imo.

I remember doing it for free during an interview right out of school, the hiring officer used a free/simplified/plagiarized version of survey (the real one would cost $97 which I last check).

I scored heavily on trader & dealmaker type. Trader is not someone who necessarily stares at Forex price charts and trades on candle stick price action, it just means someone who has an instinct to spot a bargain at right timing in general.

E-commerce could also be seen as trading in nature, though I have not done it before.

I call it success voyeurism.

This is so primal to the human condition that it is, to me, the most compelling reason to believe that we are in a simulation - the fact that we so easily fall for and seek simulation. Drugs, alcohol, success-voyeurism, porn, movies, sports watching, reading stories...etc...our main forms of entertainment and enjoyment (and even attempted learning) are based on seeking a simulated version of real experiences.

No one ever gets this reference when I use it! I referenced Baudrillard in a discussion of "what is a woman?"

I've been watching Chris Stuckmann's movies reviews for a while, and have been rooting for him since he started a Kickstarter to fund his own film "Shelby Oaks". His channel is 99% movie reviews, but has had a few personal updates. He has gone from zero to movie director entirely through his own efforts. In his latest update, his says his movie will finally be in theatres later this year:

Correct.

If you look closely, addictions and escapes are accompanied with a kind of anxiety.

You are betraying your truest identity.

You can't "love" something that is contradictory to your identity because A cannot merge with ~A. In that case you are either participating in something evil or complicit in your self-destruction. Kind of like how Ayn Rand said there was no “self-less” love.

Think about it - people who are broke and living miserable lives don't spread their genes into further generation.

---
This could be solved with massively educating people about mass-value pursuits (call it Fastlane if you wish) - it's what's happening in Switzerland - where every college student is either a top-tier employee or a tech startup founder.
It's what it has to be in the entire world, anyway. Except in weak-minded countries it will take hundreds of years, while in developed ones it has already begun.
If I will have a large success with FullCook one of my plans is to mass-educate people about value-creation in the world. Because if everyone creates value and inventions, we have a population that is absolutely moving itself, and thus people live better too.

Where did you get this idea from?

Have you ever walked outside, like in the real world?

If anything, uneducated, miserable, and broke people are MORE likely to spread their genes because birth control is not exactly their #1 priority in life - they don't give a shit about the consequences of their actions, and thus, they bear children that they do not care about, perpetuating the cycle of misery and bringing more suffering into this world.

I've heard two disturbing phrases from channels targeting children on YouTube in the past week.

Phrase 1: "Like and subscribe if you believe in Jesus."

Phrase 2: "Like and subscribe or you don't love your parents."

My workouts are far more intense at the gym, versus in my home gym. I really like being around other people who are far fitter than I. I elaborated here:

Yes, the teens are annoying, but I try to remember that they are THERE, which is far better than the average teen.

I also don't own a treadmill or have room for it in the gym, and I don't want to put it in the game room.

This lady just ran into me in a crosswalk. She was stopped at the end of the crosswalk, so I started crossing with my daughter. Then she starts driving. I slam my fist against her hood at the last second and yell at her because she is literally running into my body while looking at her phone...

I should've barrel rolled across her hood like those kids in the beginning of Better Call Saul...
