I run a membership site.

Recently ... one of my members asked how much it would cost to run a banner ad.

Now I run banner ads ... but up to now ... I have used them exclusively for FAQs (and things like that).

I had not given serious thought to selling banner ads ... my business model is based on paid subscriptions ... but perhaps I should ...

The problem is ... I have NO IDEA how to price it. So I wasn't quite sure how to respond.

Are there any "rules of thumb" that you use to determine how much to charge for ad space ...?

Should I throw it back at them ... and ask them to make me an offer ...?

Stumped.
