I just finished day one of my first Startup Weekend event. It. Is. Awesome. So much brainpower in one building. The general premise is this: Pitch, Build a team, Generate Business Model, Build MVP, Present, all in 54 hours!!! I pitched an idea I had about a payment system for teens to buy online, and it was voted one of the top three ideas (small victory!!!)! I recruited some top notch teammates, and we are gonna get cranking tomorrow!
BUT really I want to say thank you to MJ and the rest of the Fastlane crew. I'm not there yet, but things are looking good. It all started when I followed Millionaire Fastlane on Facebook. I read the book, and it changed my thought process. I started THINKING!
MJ posted something about the Venture Lab classes at Stanford and I jumped all over that. It officially started my Lean Startup training. Then I saw this program called Startup weekend, and now I'm leading a team, building a business model, and developing what could possibly a company! I dont want to get too enthusiastic yet, but I am stoked.
If all else fails, I will leave smarter than when I arrived!
