Stocks moving up with minimal volatility

Through my research I'm now running into stocks that appear to have a lower risk due to lower volatility. The two I'll list here are both energy related companies.

STON lower volume but may be prepping for a move as volume looks to be sustaining above it's 50dma. Huge ROE at +70% q1 '10. It's in a creepy industry tho.
