I think that a lot of us forget, because we've been trading stocks since our teens, or owning real estate and landlording for 10+ years -- that there are a lot of people out there who have no clue. Suzy Orman plays to that crowd, and that's how she's made her millions. I'm sure that her books can provide a leg up for someone who doesn't even know what a mutual fund is, or how to best utilize their 401k -- but those are the slowlaners, and those people will never set foot in the realm that most of us here seek to live in.

We take risks knowingly, because the possible rewards outweigh whatever the risks may be.
