If the forecast for temp don't change this week we can choose another location in the area if needed. Or keep the location if everyone is fine with temp being below 60.

@Vigilante Davidoff of Geneva sounds good...never been before. I'm not sure how many are coming exactly. I would say somewhere around 10 possibly.

Looks nice, though for the sake of the out of towners, I think keeping it in the Tampa area would save at least 30 mins each way.

I can make calls tomorrow to all the places and post findings regarding cost/availability-- then we can take a poll and lock it in.

@Arun Siva Basically a $250 minimum before tax/gratuity, so assuming 20 people, that's around $20/person. I don't think we have to hold everyone to a minimum if we get confirmation from enough attendees and just use the honor system.., the menu is Find A Restaurant | Seasons 52 Restaurant

If the private room is unbooked on the day of, I'll see if they can just move us there. There's also a hotel across the street if the meetup goes beyond dinnertime...

Update : I will make it, but will not be able to spend the whole evening there. My son is just rolling in to town and I may even bring him along, but I will plan on getting there at 6PM for a couple of cocktails but need to plan an early exit as we have a bunch of family related stuff going on. I will have no problem drinking my share of the bill though. See you all Saturday at some point.

What is the head count? Do you have enough people to justify the minimum?

I have a trainee with me next week, but oops, looks like I have to cut Thursday short on him, Ill just tell him I have a doctors appointment or something.

Yea, Gainesville is a good place. I grew up Dallas, but moved here after graduating in 2012. I came because I had some friends out here.

Just moved from there 2 years. Just did a double take because my best friend in Gville is Jonathan C as well haha

Great meeting everyone today, I am very happy I came out! Plan on being at the next one as well.

The one website I mentioned was 10times.com for tradeshows, if you guys need any help or have questions on how shows work I do this for my job all of the time. And in general marketing stuff, I like the backend work so PM me if there's anything I can do.

One point I forgot to mention to @Vigilante :

Those pee pads, have you ever thought about putting them into a hospital setting? I worked as a tech in a hospital, and one issue they have is bedridden patients after surgery, really sick ones, or the elderly... if a patient pees the bed what happens is the wetness causes skin breakdown, and it's a huge huge huge no-no in the hospital. They actually end up losing grants from the government typically if this happens and the nurse doesn't catch it. Happens all the time. I bet in nursing homes/geriatric care places those would sell like hot cakes. I worked in a huge hospital in Indianapolis and as far as we didn't have them around. We simply used those doggy accident pads under their a$$ to keep it from getting on the floor.

Something to consider if you haven't aleady.

Ironically we got a notification that we sold one about 10 minutes after you guys left

Funny story, my car was totaled on the way back to the lab after the meeting. Some lady tried to slam on the brakes and turned in front of me.

Besides that, it was a great meeting and good to hear how everyone is doing. I look forward to trying your samples @Scot. @Vigilante set me straight on a few things and now I'm focused back on the right things, I really appreciate everyone's insights.

I will be pushing my limits and implementing what we talked about before our next meetup. When we meet back up in June, I'm looking forward to hearing how everyone else has executed on the strategies given today.

Thanks for the kind words, but I have a long way to go before I can make my dream a reality. I'm looking forward to hearing your stories on how you got into the Tampa market in June.
